Legal notice

This page sets out who we are and the terms on which we run worldmedics.co.uk.

What we are, and what we are not

World Medics is a general retailer of cosmetics, toiletries, food supplements and everyday wellbeing products. We are not a registered pharmacy and we do not employ a pharmacist.

We do not sell prescription-only medicines (POM), pharmacy-only medicines (P), or general sale list (GSL) medicines. Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Health and product claims

Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Any nutrition or health claims used on this site are limited to those on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register, in the approved wording. See our standards for how this shapes what we write. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, speak to a healthcare professional before taking any supplement.

Pricing and availability

Prices include VAT where applicable and are shown in pounds sterling. We try to keep prices and stock accurate, but errors happen. Where a price is obviously wrong we will contact you before taking payment rather than fulfilling or cancelling silently.

Orders

While our checkout is being completed, orders are taken by enquiry. Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. A contract is formed only once we have confirmed your order, the total and the delivery date in writing, and you have confirmed you wish to proceed.

Delivery and returns

Set out in full on our delivery and returns page. In short: free UK delivery over £35, £3.95 otherwise, and 30 days to return unopened goods for a full refund. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of opened cosmetics, supplements or personal care items unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, photography and design, belongs to World Medics Ltd unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability

Nothing in this notice limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
